Mourning the Loss of Victor Abraham

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Victor Eugene “Cuzmo” Abraham. Victor passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2022, in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 65.

Victor was born on June 27, 1956 in Wewoka, OK. He was educated in Wewoka area schools. Upon his graduation he enlisted and dutifully served in the United States Army from 1978-1981. Vic became disabled during his service years and was honorably discharged in 1981. Unwavered by his disability, he served as a consummate companion and caregiver for his paternal grandparents until their passing.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Being a father to his children brought him tremendous happiness. This was only surpassed by the love he shared with his grandchildren. He beamed with pride when speaking of his three grandchildren who are following in his footsteps by serving in the U.S. military.

Cuzmo had a kind, gentle spirit, and even larger heart. He could always be depended on to liven up any party. He loved music, dancing and telling tall tales, just like his dad. “I don’t ever recall him getting into any trouble,” shared his cousin Gary, “He was just a good guy.” Similarly, his Aunt Merdine tearfully reflected by stating, “That little boy brought me so much joy.” He was everyone’s favorite cousin and friend, and he will be missed tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blondell Abraham, Wesley Alford, bonus mom June Alford; and grandchildren Dakota Johnson and Aubryauna Knight.

Left cherishing his memory are his daughters, Teresa, Charity, LaRutha Wagner (Walter), Vickie and Paula; son Corey (Crystal); sister, Mardella Williams, Natalie June Abraham; brothers` Ronald Abraham, Herman Brown (Judy); aunts, Joyce Abraham, Merdine Alford-Black and Violet Alford-Patterson; uncles, Marcus Abraham (Cassandra), Jimmy Ray (Gerta), Willie O. Alford (Jo Ann), Rev. TJ Roberts; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
